Celebrating Mexican Culture with Siete Foods ‘Back to School’ Lunch Box
Background:
Siete Foods, a brand known for its commitment to family, heritage, and health, approached us with a unique request. As part of their ‘Back to School’ initiative, they wanted to create a special lunch box that celebrated mexican culture. They wanted to add an authentic touch to each box and reached out to us to bring this vision to life.
Objective:
To design and produce traditional Mexican PomPoms in heart and circle shapes for inclusion in Siete Foods' ‘Back to School’ lunch box, adding a culturally rich and handmade element that would resonate with their audience.
Our Process
We began by meeting with the Siete team to understand their goals and requirements for the project. During this collaborative session, we shared inspiration images and ideas to align our vision. We then engaged our community of artisans, asking them to provide a few samples of their work. These samples were shared with Siete, and together, we refined the designs until we all loved it. This entire process was highly collaborative, involving continuous feedback and coordination between Siete, our team, and the artisans.
Strategy and Execution:
Artisan Collaboration:
We partnered with an artisan community in Chiapas, consisting of skilled women. This community is known for its exquisite craftsmanship and dedication to traditional Mexican embroidery.
Each PomPom was meticulously hand-made and hand-embroidered by these artisans, ensuring that every piece was unique and carried the essence of Mexican culture.
Woodworking Collaboration:
To further enhance the cultural significance and branding, we teamed up with a talented woodworker based in CDMX.
This craftsman created a bespoke branded element to attach to each tassel, seamlessly blending traditional artistry with modern branding.
OUTCOME
This PomPom adds a beautiful touch of Mexican culture while supporting the artisan community in Chiapas, providing them with meaningful work and recognition.
Cultural Appreciation: The project highlighted the rich heritage of Mexican crafts, bringing traditional art into contemporary products.
Community Support: By involving women artisans and a local woodworker, the initiative supported local economies and promoted sustainable practices.
Brand Enhancement: Siete Foods successfully positioned itself as a brand that values and promotes cultural diversity, appealing to a broad audience of conscious consumers.
