Background:
Siete Foods, known for its innovative, culturally rooted food products, launched a limited-edition Concha Cookie Mix just in time for the holiday season. To make their PR boxes extra special and celebrate the cultural heritage behind the concha, they asked us to create handmade, concha-shaped Christmas ornaments. We partnered with local artisan women from Chiapas, Mexico to bring this project to life!
Concha-Shaped Christmas Ornaments
for Siete Foods
The Collaboration:
We teamed up with a collective of talented artisan women from Chiapas, Mexico, renowned for their craftsmanship and traditional artistry. Together, we designed and produced handmade, concha-shaped ornaments that honored both the cultural heritage of the concha and SIETE's commitment to supporting local communities.
Our Process
We began by meeting with the Siete team to understand their goals and requirements for the project. During this collaborative session, we shared inspiration images and ideas to align our vision. We then engaged our community of artisans, asking them to provide a few samples of their work. These samples were shared with Siete, and together, we refined the designs until we all loved it. This entire process was highly collaborative, involving continuous feedback and coordination between Siete, our team, and the artisans.
Strategy and Execution:
The collaboration between SIETE Foods, us, and the artisans achieved outstanding results:
Authentic Storytelling: The ornaments celebrated Mexican heritage, reinforcing SIETE Foods' mission to honor and share their cultural roots.
Community Impact: By working with local artisan women, the collaboration provided meaningful economic support to the Chiapas community while showcasing their craftsmanship to a global audience.
Brand Differentiation: The inclusion of a handmade, culturally significant ornament helped SIETE Foods stand out during the competitive holiday season.
